Minor Change on #53 Marywood/U of S

COLTS  implemented a minor change to the #53 Marywood/U of S route effective Monday, Sept. 11. The change will allow the bus to service more of the campus.
Outbound: From Adams Ave., the bus will turn right on Linden St. instead of Mulberry. From Linden St., it will turn left onto Madison Ave. and then make a right onto Mulberry St. to regular route.
Inbound: The bus will turn left onto Jefferson Ave. from Mulberry St. (instead of left on North Washington Ave.)

 

UPDATE on #41 High Works Change Effective Sept. 5, 2017

UPDATED #41 High Works:
Outbound:
The High Works will use regular routing to Green Ridge Street. It will stay straight on Green Ridge St. toward regular route except for four trips daily that will still serve Dickson Ave. (9:05, 11:05, 2:05, 4:05)
Inbound: After leaving the Keyser Oak Shopping Center, the bus will no longer pull into the Rite-Aid parking lot. The bus stop will be moved to the cutout in front of FNCB on Keyser Avenue.  Four trips daily will service Dickson Ave. (9:05, 11:05, 2:05, 4:05)

All Saturday High Works buses will serve Dickson Ave.

 

Minor Changes to Five Routes in Effect Sept. 5 – #41 High Works Updated

The changes that COLTS will implement to #18 Petersburg, #25 Valley View, #41 High Works, #43 Viewmont/Bangor, and #45 Viewmont Express will ensure more customer-friendly and on-time service. The minor route changes will also ensure better connections for our riders.

#18 Petersburg:
OUTBOUND:
The Petersburg will travel regular route to Prescott Ave. and Ash St., staying straight on Prescott. The bus will make a right onto Williams Street and go straight. The bus will then make a right onto Union Avenue and travel to Ash Street.
INBOUND:
The bus will make a right on Ash Street from Union Avenue. It will make a left on Prescott and go back to regular route to Mulberry Street. The bus will travel down Mulberry Street, but instead of turning left on Jefferson Ave., the bus will turn left onto North Washington Ave. It will then make a right onto Spruce Street, a left onto Wyoming Ave. and a right onto Lackawanna Ave. to the Lackawanna Transit Center.

#25 Valley View/Hilltop:
OUTBOUND:
The Valley View/Hilltop bus will no longer turn into the circle at Hilltop Manor. The bus will go around Hilltop Manor and continue straight on South Webster Ave. The bus will no longer service Prospect Ave. Instead, it will use South Webster Ave. between Gibbons Street and Genet Street. It will then go on to regular route, picking up at Valley View Terrace.
INBOUND:
The bus will travel its regular route over South Webster Ave. to Moosic Street, make a left and take the Expressway into downtown Scranton. The bus will travel straight down Spruce Street, no longer making a left onto Lackawanna Avenue. Instead, the bus will stay straight on Spruce St., making a left onto Wyoming Avenue and a right on Lackawanna Ave. to the Lackawanna Transit Center.

Outbound:

#43 Viewmont/Bangor:
OUTBOUND: The Viewmont/Bangor will take a different route leaving the Transit Center, making a left on Lackawanna Ave., a right on 6th Ave., left on Linden St., and a right on 7th Ave. The bus will make a right into Redner’s parking lot, circle the lot, then exit onto 7th Ave. and continue on to regular route toward North Scranton. When the bus leaves Bangor Heights, it will make a right onto Market St, and a left on Keyser Ave. There will no longer be service to Market Street above Keyser Avenue on the outbound #43 trip. The bus stop in front of Rite Aid on Keyser Ave. will be moved to the cutout in front of FNCB Bank. The bus will now stop at Field and Stream in addition to the front of the Viewmont Mall at the bus shelter.
INBOUND:
The bus will be on regular routing into Scranton. At 7th Ave., the bus will make a left into Redner’s parking lot, circle the lot and then make a left onto 7th Ave. and continue its regular route toward the Transit Center.

#45 Viewmont Express:
OUTBOUND: The route will stay the same.
INBOUND: From the Viewmont Mall, the bus will make a left onto Route 6 and onto the Expressway. The bus will make a right on Mifflin Ave., a right on Lackawanna Ave. and pull into the Lackawanna Transit Center. (The inbound Viewmont Express will no longer use Wyoming Avenue to return to the LTC.)

Minor #43 Viewmont/Bangor Route Change Effective July 3

Effective Monday, July 3, the outbound #43 Viewmont Bangor will still use Rockwell Avenue. It will make a right on Rockwell, left on Gilbert, right on Kelly, right on Mary, and right on Rockwell.

The inbound is making a left on Rockwell, left on Gilbert, right on Kelly, right on Mary, and right on Rockwell.

COLTS returned to using the newly re-opened Rockwell Avenue Bridge in May.
