In an effort to reach more customers, major route changes are coming to the Evening City Circle routes effective Monday, Feb. 18. The shuttles will now run Monday through Saturday from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. with the exception of the ECC North Saturday, which will start at 6 p.m. The shuttles previously ran Monday through Friday.
Additionally, the #73 Saturday Night Special route will be discontinued, with its last run on Saturday, Feb. 16. However, the City Circle shuttles will service the locations previously served by the #73 Saturday Night Special as well as new locations; Marywood University and Green Ridge Plaza will now have service on Saturday nights. Please note that the ECC North will start at 6 p.m. (not 7 p.m.) on Saturdays only.
The changes to the ECC routes expand service to areas such as:
♦ Stauffer Industrial Park
♦ Luzerne Street Shopping Center
♦ Green Ridge Plaza / Giant Market
♦ businesses on Wheeler Ave. and Meadow Ave.
COLTS did not take service away from popular locations that have been served on the Evening City Circle routes, such as: the three hospitals in Scranton, The University of Scranton, Marywood University, Taylor and Dickson City Wal-Mart stores, South Side Shopping Center, Keyser Oak Shopping Center, Viewmont Mall, Commerce Boulevard, Cinemark, and The Shoppes at Montage.
You can find the new schedules online at coltsbus.com. Paper copies will be available next week.
